The wall painting repair works at St Andrew’s Church, Impington in the Diocese of Ely are now finished.
The 2021 conservation programme funded by Historic England and undertaken by specialist Tobit Curteis Associates made visible many fine details which had become obscured over decades of dirt deposition on the surface and compromised by the loss of paint layer. The treatment began with the stabilisation of vulnerable areas of the painting, followed by cleaning.
